Thank you for visiting our website for “The Sacramento River: At Current Speed.” Our film is an exploration of a hidden river, surrounded by farm and freeway, where millions of people live and work. It is a river with two personalities, one that retains a sense of wildness, home to endangered salmon, to otter, eagle and osprey. One that is a massive plumbing system; it’s waters captured and transferred hundreds of miles for agriculture and drinking. Our film records our trip from rowing a whitewater dory from Redding, CA. to the Sacramento Delta. Along the way we met and interviewed a number of people in the corridor who helped us better understand the importance of this system to the health of the state. You can see our most recent Film Festival activities on the EVENTS tab above.
